After a few friendly chats online via a mutual friend, they unexpectedly met in person Spring Break 2002 at the Houston Galleria. They had no idea that after a few days they would fall for each other, survive a 400-mile long distance relationship and now four years later be planning their wedding. After a year and a half of long-distance, David left his hometown and family in Houston, Texas to live in Abilene, Texas as Erica finished school. After Erica's graduation in December, David proposed to Erica on February 14, 2006 and she said yes. He did it the old fashioned way and asked Erica's parents and then got down on one knee. They moved to Midland, Texas, Erica's hometown, and plan to move to the Austin area after the wedding. They are madly in love and are excited to be married!

I have always dreamed of my ideal wedding to be a romantic sunset beach wedding and all I needed was a groom. We I finally have one and he does not think I am crazy. David and I wanted to travel to a new and exciting place together. I had already been to Cancun and so we decided on Jamaica.
