Well we have known each other since high school (Jessica's sophomore year, Steven's freshman year). We immediately become best friends and remained friends throughout the rest of our high school years. We slowly drifted apart after I graduated but was reunited a year in a half later when we ran into each other at a local bar in downtown OKC. We exchanged numbers that evening and our friendship went back into full gear again. Steven joined the US Air Force in March 2005 and was stationed in RAF Mildenhall in England in the December of 2006. We continued to remain best friends through the distant and in January 2008, I went to see Steven in England and thats when we started talking about getting married, we knew that we were meant for each other, we knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We are not the typical engaged couples that can say that we actually dated. We went from being best friends to planning a wedding and we couldn’t have made a better decision than this. Steven is stationed in England until December 2011, so after the wedding I will be joining him over there to begin the rest of our lives together. The base is located about 1 1/2 hour north of London. We definitely plan on traveling through Europe before we return back to the U.S. The certain location of where we could get stationed at once we get back to the U.S. will not be known until that time gets closer.

We will be arriving into Jamaica on May 13, 2009 and arriving at Couples Swept Away resort. This resort is located on the famous sparkling seven mile beach of Negril Jamaica. This is an all-inclusive resort with the dining options of 6 unique restaurants, 8 bars including a sport & piano bar, a world of water sports and live entertainment every night for our guests to enjoy. Our wedding is May 16, 2009 @ 4:00pm and will be located directly on the beach. We would like our guest attending to join us for dinner at Feathers that evening to celebrate our wedding. On May 17, 2009, we will be leaving the Swept Away resort and heading to Couples Negril for our honeymoon. This resort is located about 20 minutes away from the Swept Away resort. We will be returning to Oklahoma on May 20, 2009.

We are going to have a very tradition wedding reception once we get back to Oklahoma. We are having a buffet style reception at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City @ 7:00pm on May 23, 2009. The reception is located on the 2nd Floor of the Cox Convention Center in Junior Ballroom 14. Signs will be located indoors to help our guest locate the ballroom. Our guest will have an unlimited amount of parking for a nominal fee along with a valet option. The closest parking will be at the Cox Convention Center located directly south of the Renaissance. There is also Santa Fe Parking Garage located North of the Renaissance with the entrance located on EK Gaylord. There is covered walkways from the Parking Garage to Renaissance. Parking is usually about $5 for an evening at the parking garages. You are more than welcome for street parking if available. There is no charge for street parking on the weekends. There is valet options as well.

Heading off to a secluded beach in Jamaica and getting married was too romantic to pass up. For those who will not be able to attend the wedding in Jamaica in person you will be in our hearts, but it would be great to have you at the wedding reception! Since we already have a household established, and with the difficulties of shipping things overseas (not to forget the whole European outlet thing) we decided to use the resort's bridal registry.
