Selena Cannon & Collin Olson
Location: Negril, Jamaica
We will be married on October 7th in Negril, Jamaica. We're staying at Couples, which is an all-inclusive resort on the beach. We're scheduled to marry at 3 pm, but we haven't yet chosen the location. We get to choose from the beach, garden veranda, etc.

We're flying back on October 11th. As we're being wed in private in Jamaica, we're throwing a party afterward in Franklin for everyone to come and celebrate our recent marriage with us.

The party will be held on November 1, 2008 at Forrest Crossing Golf Course in Franklin, TN. The address of the course is 750 Riverview Drive, Franklin, TN 37064 and the course's website can found out http://forrestcrossing.americangolf.com.

The party will start at roughly 6 and will last until just shy of twelve. For information concerning the party, please look under the Reception section and for information on hotels and transportation, refer to Travel Arrangements.
The party will start around 6 o'clock and will end shortly before twelve. At 6, we will have appetizers, and fine dining will commence at 7 or 730. A live band will play between 9 and 11 when everyone can dance. We will be serving Yazoo beer, brewed here in Nashville, a selection of fine wines, and margaritas. The party is not overly formal, so it is not necessary to get all dressed up (unless you just want to), but it's not a BBQ either.
If traveling by plane, arriving in Nashville is pretty much the only option. None of the hotels that we are suggesting offer shuttle service to Nashville airport, and taxis from the party to Nashville will likely be very expensive. So, it's probably best to stay in Franklin.

The various hotels that we suggest staying at aren't located far from the party. We will have taxi numbers available during the party, and the prices should be pretty reasonable. We suggest that if there is any question about one's ability to drive safely home, definitely take a taxi!

We suggest three different hotels. 1) The Embassy Suites (embassysuites1.hilton.com) is located in North Franklin and is the most luxurious of hotels. As the name suggests, each room is a suite which includes a spacious and comfortable king size bed as well as a separate parlor and pull-out couch. Thus, some thrifty guests may double-up and save a little money. Inside the hotel there is a bar and a restaurant, as well as other amenities such as a pool and workroom. A room here should cost around $130 for guests of the wedding. 2) Country Inn Suites (countryinns.com) also located in North Franklin and is next to Jonathan's which is a restaurant and bar open until 3am. This hotel might be appropriate for those guests wishing to save a little money on a room but continue the party after the party. Rooms here run around $95. 3) The Best Western (bestwestern.com) is our less expensive option at $65. Unfortunately, there is not a bar located nearby although there is a waffle house for fine dining.
We decided to marry because we are in love with each other and we want to build a life together, but we are not very traditional people and this is not the traditional wedding (obviously, since it's in private on a glamorous Caribbean island). So, please come to the party with the understanding that it's simply a party celebrating our marriage and nothing overly formal at all. On a similar note, we are both adults and have been living on our own for some time. So, we don't need the assortment of housewares that the traditional registry includes. Rather than a gift, we will be happy simply to have you come and celebrate with us. However, if you feel that you must gift a gift (which you don't), we have a link to a Registry Page above where you can help contribute to our wedding and honeymoon. If you have any questions concerning any aspect of the party or the wedding, please contact Collin at CollinSOlson@gmail.com. See you on November 1st!!
