Eric and Laurie met at LBW Jr. College in Andalusia in 2000. Laurie says....."We had several classes together. I thought he seemed very sweet and he was definitely good-looking. We talked some, but he was very shy and reserved." Eric says...." I definitely was shy when it came to talking to this beautiful blue-eyed girl. I thought she was way out of my league anyway, but I could tell that she was a genuine person." They were destined to cross paths again and it happened in May of 2004 when Laurie was visiting Auburn for her brother's graduation. She saw Eric on the street and AGAIN tried to talk to him. This time, he did talk, and they have not stopped talking since! He proposed to her on New Year's Eve, in a candle-filled room, by reading a poem he had written! Eric will be graduating from Auburn in August with a degree in Finance. Laurie, also an Auburn Alumni, is working with HomeBanc Corporation in Atlanta as their Recruiting Coordinator. They have planned a Honeymoon to Negril, Jamaica and afterwards will make their home in Dunwoody, Georgia.

Our marriage will take place at Carolina Baptist Church in Andalusia, Alabama with Rev. Anthony Clark ministering the ceremony. This is Laurie's home church and Rev. Clark was her pastor for many years. The church is located about 10 minutes south of Andalusia and we will include directions.

Our reception will immediately follow the ceremony and will be held in the fellowship hall of the church. We are joyfully anticipating this celebration of our marriage and we hope you will join us!
