As most of you know, Ty and I met in New Orleans, LA the week of July 1, 2006. Ty was working as a carpenter for Service International for six months, and was at the SI headquarters when I arrived with my team on July 1st. Needless to say, it was "love at first sight" and we truly feel that God was the orchestrator of this meeting. In the midst of turmoil, ugliness and distress in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, true love was born-which goes to show that God answers prayer and that good things come to those who wait and are patient, and who trust and believe in Him. We are truly humbled and blessed, and we are looking forward to this new and exciting chapter of our lives. We plan to (1) honor God by honoring each other and this marriage, (2) serve Him faithfully & (3) have fun!

Our wedding will take place on Wed. July 4th, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. (We really love the thought of having our wedding anniversary on a holiday every year!) This date also marks one year since we met in New Orleans ... it was the first night the teams were able to take some time off work and enjoy the fireworks on the riverfront in New Orleans. Ty and I feel that we "connected" on this awesome evening and that it was (sort of) our "first date". We will be married where we both have a deep fondness and connection: THE BEACH! with the sand between our toes and the warm ocean breeze in our face. It couldn't be more perfect for us. We wish you could all be there physically, but you will surely be there with us in our hearts!! P.S.: PLEASE PRAY FOR BEAUTIFUL WEATHER...THANKS!!

The non-denominational ceremony should last @ 15 minutes. Since it will be just the two of us (plus the minister, wedding coordinator, and whoever our (unknown) witnesses are...lol), the reception area will be set up with a table and two-tiered wedding cake, along with sparkling wine.

Travel arrangements have been made through Tammy Perry at Travel Express (314) 241-6065. Tammy can answer any questions you may have regarding our trip. We are taking a non-stop charter flight so we will be there early afternoon on the day we leave (Sun. July 1st). We have to be in Jamaica 48 hours before we can marry there.

We wish each and every one of you could be with us, but you will be in our thoughts and hearts on July 4, 2007. We hope to celebrate in some way with all of you upon our return. We love you very much. You are such a blessing in our lives and we pray God blesses you all with love, peace and prosperity for years to come.
